I see the azure sky,
The lazy clouds, floating by;
Lying low now that great orb,
Its golden light, the trees reward,
And humble leaves now radiate
Beauty none could calculate.
I hear nature lift her song
All birds join the joyous throng,
To serenade the day just been
And herald a future yet unseen;
Cool spring air rings with the voice
A thousand creatures cry: "rejoice!"
I feel something stir my soul
Overwhelmed, I can’t control
It’s rising, rising, in my heart
These words of praise just must depart;
Oh God, that I can call you mine!
The artist of this piece divine.
