It’s been a long time since I have written anything productive on here. I apologise to those people who do follow it a bit, and I thank you for your encouragement to get me back into it.
I could reel off any number of excuses for being slack on this blog, but I’m not gonna. I did, however, decide that I’d get back into it when uni started, so here I am. Not only that, but I am back with a purpose and a strategy. In the interests of being a regular contributor to the blogosphere I will work towards putting out at least three articles a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Poetry is an element of this blog that has been lacking of late, which is something I would like to correct. Likewise, Bible reading has been something I’ve neglected too much recently, and is also something I would like to change. So, what I aim to do is read, study and meditate on a psalm every week, during which I will write a poem as my response to it (which I think is fitting seeing as most of the psalms are intended to impact the emotions). So you readers can expect a poem up here sometime every weekend. I’ll also pop book reviews on here as I finish books and get around to writing reviews.
That’s the plan anyway, but keep in mind that I am creating the rules around here, and can bend, change and break them as I please. I can call a poem an article if I want, and post stuff on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays, just to keep you on your toes, and let you know who’s boss. The goal for me is simply consistency, quite possibly at the expense of quality to start with (but hopefully not).
So welcome to the new Pursuing Wisdom, I hope you enjoy it as I pursue some consistency again.
